About
No Team To Blame is the home of League of Legends 1v1: tournaments, match pages, and a rating built for one player at a time.
Why this exists
Everyone who plays League has said it. “My team threw.” Sometimes it is even true. A 1v1 takes the sentence away. Same map, same lane, one opponent, and whatever happens next is yours: the trade you won, the wave you missed, the all-in you should not have taken.
League has never shipped a 1v1 queue, so the scene lives in Discord servers, campus cups, and one-off brackets where results are screenshots and nobody keeps score for longer than a weekend. We think individual skill deserves a permanent record. That is the whole product: brackets that understand 1v1, a page for every duel, and a rating that remembers.
How it works
Sign in with Google or Apple, then add your Riot ID (Name#TAG). We look up your rank and level so brackets can seed fairly and opponents know who they are up against.
Join an open tournament or host your own: single or double elimination, round robin, or Swiss. Check in, open your match page, and play the game in a custom lobby. The rules are printed right there.
Report the score, your opponent confirms, the bracket advances. Every rated match moves your NTTB rating, your record, and your head-to-head history. Titles stay on your profile for good.
What makes it different
Challonge, start.gg, and Battlefy are good at what they do, and plenty of 1v1 cups have run on them. They are built to host every game at once. We are built for League 1v1 only, which lets us do a few things a general tool cannot.

FAQ
Looking for lobby setup, win conditions, or no-show rules? Those live in the rulebook.
An Elo-style number that starts at 1200 and moves after every rated match: beat a stronger opponent and gain more, lose to a weaker one and lose more. It is computed only from matches played on No Team To Blame. It is not your League MMR, does not estimate it, and has nothing to do with Riot's ranked ladder.
Both players have a say. One reports the score, the other confirms, and the bracket moves. If the reports do not match, the match is flagged as disputed, both players attach a post-game screenshot, and the organizer makes the call. Riot's API does not share custom-game results with third parties, so fully automatic verification is on the roadmap behind Riot's Tournament API approval.
How reporting worksTo play in rated tournaments, yes. Linking is a lookup, not a login: we read your public rank and level and never touch your account. Ownership verification through Riot Sign On is planned once we have production API access.
No. No Team To Blame is an independent community platform. It uses the Riot Games API under Riot's developer policies and is not endorsed by Riot Games. When the API is unavailable, or not yet configured, rank lookups pause and everything else keeps working.
Yes. Any signed-in player can host. Pick a format, choose a rules preset and a check-in window, publish, and share the link. Organizers get seeding controls, result overrides, disqualifications, and a dispute queue.
Host a tournamentNothing. Playing and hosting are free, with no ads and no participant fees.
Any region Riot supports. Your Riot platform (NA, EUW, KR, and so on) is stored on your profile, and because 1v1s are played in a custom lobby, you will want to enter tournaments on your own server.
Tournaments have a check-in window before the start, and matches have a grace period once both players are known. Miss either and the organizer can award a forfeit. The defaults, and how disconnects are handled, are in the rulebook.
